Because I have heard about a law like that in france that gives you 8 months after finishing your studies to find a job and stay there. And after those 8 months, you have to quit the country.

  1. Unfortunately there is no system in place for internships or work experience in the U.K. upon completion of your degree.

During your time in the U.K. you could look around for employers who would be willing to file for a work permit on your behalf once you do graduate. If you do not find one, then you have no choice but to return home.

  2. Yes, there is. In Scotland, we have what is known as the 'Fresh Talent' scheme. Just do a search and I'm sure you'll get the information you need. This allows recent graduates in certain fields to remain in Scotland and work here for a year (or 2 - I can't remember exactly) after they have finished their studies.

  3. Let's face it millions of people stay on for years - we have more illegals then we can shake a stick at, and many of those are ex students who studied here just to get here in the first place.

If you do stay I hope that you will be a constructive person in this society.

  4. Your understanding in 'additional details' is quite correct - you must quit the country immediately upon completing the course if all you have is a student visa.  If you obtain a work visa while you hold a student visa, then clearly you will be allowed to stay.  There is no such law like the initial one you refer to.

  5. you have 2 years to live n find a job in the UK once u have finised studing frm there.
