1. I am sure that the Ontario League will allow the All Blacks a game.

  2. I checked out the Ontario Rugby Union site and it looks like the youngest provincial girls team they have is the under 17 age grade. I coach in Nova Scotia and I assume they have the same kind of set up as we do. You play in High School and that is the main factor for being recognised and selected in a provincial team.

A lot of the High School players are also playing club rugby during the summer and this is what I think you should do. For this you should have your eyes wide open because there are some big pro's and con's about playing club rugby.

The down side is that you will be playing against bigger, stronger, faster and more experienced players. This is usually enough to scare 99% of the school players away... for those few that aren't scared, the benefits are ENORMOUS.

Once you join a club (they will accept ANYONE) you will realise that they are all just people like you and they all went through what you are doing so you will be accepted immediately. You will usually get far better coaching than you do in school, the other players can teach you so many things and you will slowly get used to playing with grown adults and going back to school rugby will seem amazingly easy.

Don't be intimidated and think you'll be thrown into the deep end in a game either. You probably won't get a lot of game time as a 13 year old but when you do play, it will usually be for a "B" team or against a "B" team full of players like yourself.

I highly recommend joining your local club and your High School team. If you spend your time concentrating on technique and what to do in certain scenario's, your development will be HUGE!

Anyways, check out the ORU site below and find a club in your area... if you can't find one close, call any club and they can usually put you in touch with someone who knows.
