  1. Only if that office mate is a superior to you. However, you may be able to sue your boss for allowing such abusive actions to take place. I suggest instead that you file a report with your boss and also with Human Resources.

  2. NO

    sticks and stones only

    You could complain to HR.

  3. Of course you can engage a lawyer to file a civil case against your officemate for the so called "gemuk- fatty" in the office.

To engage a lawyer is not cheap, and it take times for your case to be heard in the magistrate court. Do you really want to to go that extreme actions?

The best solution is to warn your officemate not to call you "gemuk-fatty" or report this name-calling to your immediate superior for an appropriate disciplinary action against him or her.

  4. This is a really stupid reason to sue someone.

Speak to HR about it, you CAN make them stop, but if you are just looking for cash, know that the amount you will pay a lawyer will probably exceed any cash you can make of someone calling you a name.  If you are an adult, you should have learned to let that stuff roll off your back.  Yes, it's inapropriate in the work-place, but is it REALLY hurting your feelings THAT badly?  If so, seek therapy.  It's a name.  Names only hurt you as much as YOU ALLOW THEM TO, so get over it.
