A co-worker of mine has started a rumor about me having an affair with another co-worker (who happens to be married). The rumor spread throughout my workplace. She also spread that I was coming to work with hickeys on my neck (which was obviously not true). This person even went as far as accusing me directly of the affair in which of course I denied . Now it has been four years later and the rumor has surfaced again among our clients and when questioned where it came from it goes back to the co-worker who originally started the rumor. Is there any legal avenue's I can take against this person who is starting these malicious rumors?
