Not that I have found.  If you are asked for money run run run it is not a legit work at home job.

You will hear of a lot of people who claim to have found this work and are making a fortune. The only way they really make money is by getting others to pay them to find work - not by actual work.

There are data entry jobs available, but they are generally only available very locally. The pace of business today prohibits the type of data entry you remember from years back. However, there are always businesses which need to take analog data (maybe handwritten job applications, for example) and turn them into computer entries. Even with optical character recognition, there is still a need to data enter or verify what the system read. Occasionally, this work can be done from home once you've proven yourself with the employer.

Look for evening shifts for data entry (often found thru temp agencies) and once you've built a reputation, see if their servers can be accessed remotely so you could work from home. I think more and more of these jobs will be done at home, but they will extremely short time-lines, what comes in today needs to be in the system tonight, for example, with none of the flexibility you remember.

Is there anything you can do? Do you like writing at least a little? You can try blogs, articles, stories, of you can get a freelance job...and you don't need to be a genius to be there, just share your own personal experiences, and review products you use, and you can get all stress out too.  I've written a site with some online money making and online jobs ideas...it seems to me online market  has been underestimated by many people. If you are an accomplished typist - word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a "certified" graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects. An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days work.

There are a lot of different things you can do from home.  You have a few options to look into.  a home job which pays minimum wage.  But understand that after taxes your looking at your take home as below minimum wage.  If this is sufficient amount of income, here's a couple websites that you can take a look at and apply for the job.  I can't guarantee that you will receive the job. but you can apply for it.

Your other option is to look into having a home based business in an industry that you like.  You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business, without all the over head expenses.  A huge income opportunity for you there working from home.  I created a blog on my 360 yahoo page on home based business opportunities.  Over half a dozen different ones to choose from in several different industries.  Also a lot of information on scams, what to look for the BBB, and a few other things you should be educated on.

Yes, surveys are legit for some extra income, though don't expect to get rich.  If you like it you'll more likely get to somewhere between $100-$300 extra per month.  I wrote about some of the ones I like in my blog if you're interested.
