Is there any marine Boot camp videos

Question

My boyfriends in boot camp right now and i heard that while you are in boot camp (mcrd san diego) they make a video and put in online for family and friends to watch and see what they have been doing.

Is this true? That they put up a video of the different platoons?

If so where do i go to see if one is up or what website?

if i remember correctly there isnt a video, but pictures. my husband was in boot 7 years ago there. and i dont believe they do it by platoon, from what i remember they just take random pictures and if you see your loved one you are lucky. they then use those photos to put in the "year book".

actually, yes there is. A while back, some kid snuck a camera into boot and a recruiter friend of mine has it on his myspace. But, what you are probably referring to is some DI's post info and pictures on their websites of the platoon's progress, and sometimes you can be lucky enough to catch your future Marine in those. If your Recruits Drill Instructor has a website I'm sure your boyfriend's parents know about it. But honestly, not many do it.

my son went through the marine boot camp last winter. They do put a video on line, however it does not show any of the training they do. It shows them in their platoon and it slowly pans across each recruit so that you get a real good look at them. This video come out towards the end of boot camp. Might I suggest you visit this web site:http://www.recruitparents.com/       Take some time looking this over. It has so much info. about what the recruits are doing and it also has message boards where you can ask questions and get to know other people who have loved ones in your boyfriends platoon. No the USMC does not put up any videos for you to see..That honor goes to some other branch..
