There are so many meanings in it.

If they laugh, it means they like the joke or matter, but guys in these days take it as they favor and imagines immediately that the girl begins to love.  so, they generally will not laugh.  We elders are advicing not to laugh to the girls. Their innocence ends with troubles.

Regarding a smile.. if it is with child, she is attracted with the open heart of the child.   if it is with guys, it shows that she appreciates their work,  if it is with parents,  she needs something from them, and if she smiles with husband, it means her approval.  if she smiles others, it shows her kind heart, and if she smiles elders like me, she approves and respects elders.  my answer may have some alteration, but a girl's smile surely not on bad thinking or actions.

A smile of a girl shows her happiness and joy.  The girls considered to flowers, but they may turn into strom sometimes.
