  1. No. Your best bet is to make sure he gets the best grades possible, join lots of clubs, and do lots of sports. Then, for high school, you can send him to a prep school (most are boarding students, some can be day students that go home) Prep school, especially good ones like Phillips Exeter Academy or Phillips Andover Academy, can send your kid straight to an Ivy League school (like Harvard Medical School). But also, kids tend to change their mind a lot. I know when I was really young, I used to want to be an archaeologist, then a paleontologist, then a doctor, then an actress, then an author, and now a bio-mechanical engineer. Sending your kid to a prep school will give him a chance to explore all subjects, and if he is still set on medical stuff, the schools provide some very specific classes (especially for a high school). Good luck! and if you have any questions on Prep Schools or anything, you can email me at liz22463@gmail.com

  2. You may want to look into magnet schools... they may not be available in your state but there is a magnet middle school in the city I live in that focuses on health science.
