  1. 2/x +2 +3/2x+1?

    2+1 = 3

    2/x+3/2x+3 =

    4/2x+3/2x +3 =

    7/2x+3

denominators must be the same to add them

    or

2/(x +2) +3/(2x+1)?  this problem is different.  you should type the question exaclty as it appears in the book and with paranthesis so we know what is togheter and what isn't... also i would think you need help with the english too.  its math or mathematics not maths.

  2. No but I am very good a grammar

  3. The Answer is (7x+8) over (2x+1)(x+2). I'm Really good at math so if you need any other answers I'll try to answer them.

  4. You just add them on the numerator and the denominator ex the numerator of your question would equal 5 and denominator is 3x+3. answer is 5 over 3x+3.

  5. i forgot how to do it but i know the first step is to make the denominators the same...

  6. It's simple But that would be cheating.

  7. what are you asked to do? simplify?

if it is simplify then just find a common denominator like you always do when adding fractions. in this case the common denomnator would be (x+2)(2x+1)

if this is still really confusing email me if you like.

  8. I think you have to factor out the 2x+1

  9. = 2/(x + 2) + 3/(2x + 1)

    = (2[2x + 1] + 3[x + 2])/([x + 2][2x + 1])

    = (4x + 2 + 3x + 6)/([x + 2][2x + 1])

    = (7x + 8)/([x + 2][2x + 1])

    Answer: (7x + 8)/([x + 2][2x + 1])
