Is there any one living in wrexham area with knowledge of jewish history in the area?

can anyone find a louie abrahamson born russia 1877 c

his brother jacob who was a rabbi born russia c 1888 and his

mother hannah born russia c 1852 - on 1901 census they are living in kenyon street - town centre now demolished.

also a barbara abraham/s abram/s abrahamson born this area

c 1806 who married richard jones - i am really stuck with family

tree- have worked my way through jones davies and hughes

to get stuck here - thanks

  1. Try your library in Wrexham.  All main libraries have sections on local history.

    Also the Jewish Historical Society, may have info.  Russia may also be Lithuania/Latvia.  I once found the Naturalisation Papers of a guy who was called "a subject of the Czar of Russia" and he came from close to the Latvian/Lithuanian border.

    There is a Jewish Record Searcher (on the "inside") who works or worked in the Chief Rabbi's Marriage Authorisation Office.  You will have to cross his palm with a few shekels but he has access to information which noone else has.
