Is there any one who can give me a little insight on what to expect in Police academy?

Im starting the police academy in january in independace missouri and ive been training constantly and keeping my self in shape but i would like to hear what some one who has already been through an academy has to say?

The worst aspects are the grueling runs and taking craps in public view.

Watch the police academy movies.  They will tell you everything you need to know.  

There will be many colorful characters who drive an arrogant, stiff commandant crazy with their zany antics.  There will be a hilarious and action packed chase scene in which the academy will prove its meddle and bag the criminals.  Then saxophone music will play.  

I dunno, but it cant hurt to get in shape.  Ive seen the pigs out running in their police training sweatpants and it wasn't pretty.

As far as the physical aspect, you do need to keep in shape. In my academy, we ran two miles in the morning and two miles at the end of class. Needless to say, it was fun. As far as class time, it was a lot of hard work and studying. The scenarios was like acting out a part in a movie but nothing will prepare you for what really lies out there. Good luck !!

Well the skinny black guy makes funny sounds.  The large black guy acts tough, but he is a nice guy on the inside.  The gun freak is dumb but good for a laugh.  Mahoney will get you into trouble with Lasard.

I haven't been through the Academy yet, but I wanted to offer my well-wishes!

And... I suggest you invest in a book about the subject, Amazon is well-stocked with them. The Academy is academic, too.

I know in Ohio, the Trooper Academy is believed to be the toughest one in the state....
