Look for the local chapter of Catholic Charities.  This organization assists women, no matter their religion.

Local women's shelters/domestic violence shelters involve volunteers to help women. If you are in the USA, these are relatively easy to find.

The National Organization for Women is focused on several issues relating to women in the USA -- equal pay for equal work, for instance. But they don't have volunteering opportunities in every city. You will need to look up their web site to see if they have an affiliate in your area.

Planned Parenthood helps women with maternal health care issues and access to reproductive health services. These can be found all over the country and welcome volunteers.

UNFPA and UNIFEM are two UN agencies focused on women, but they don't have offices in every city and, therefore, may not have volunteering opportunities in your area. Look at their web sites for the nearest offices to you.
