  1. "At the end of the day" is a figurative expression you use to say "in the end," or "ultimately."

"At the end of the day, it really didn't matter."

  2. literally at the end of the day

    in conclusion

at the end of all things

    epilogue

death, at the end of one's life

at the end of the story

God's 7 days of creation had an end of the day when he rested

  3. it also means 'all in all' or 'overall'

like, 'at the end of the day, it doesnt matter if you make little mistakes. they dont affect you as much as you think.'

tried to make that as simple a sentence as possible, one to relate to....hope you understand what i'm saying.

  4. "In the end", or "ultimately"

Oops, I'm a little late, so at the end of the day the credit goes to the people who answered before me!
