where I can upload my pictures to share, but they can not be downloaded to someone's computer, or right-clicked by a viewer and saved to their computer? I want to share some photos with friends but I don't want other viewers to be able to save them to their computer or anything. Please. Thanks So Much!

  1. Here is an article that may interest you:

  2. If you use Flickr you are able to choose who can see your pictures.  I'd sign up and download a picture of something besides yourself just to check out the various setting options. I think you will find what you want there. You can assign photos to be seen by only friends (I think they need to be in your address book).

  3. www.kodakgallery.com is another one where you can set up your own photo albums. Then you can order prints yourself, and you can also invite friends/family to view the albums and they can buy pictures themselves if they want. Nobody else can get to your pictures.

Shoot, even www.walgreens.com has its photo portion set up like that. My sister just had a baby and is always sending me invitations to view it. But the difference with this site, however, is that I need to log in with her username/password to see them. Walgreens is a drugstore, and I can order pictures from the site and pick them up locally.

Another way-cool option is www.smugmug.com. But there's a hefty annual fee to join. But the neat thing about it is that anyone who wants copies of your pictures has to buy them... and you get a big percentage of what they pay. For instance, I've considered joining it, and then going out to any community events happening - fairs, ballgames, etc. I would take all sorts of pictures, and hand out my biz cards. Then anyone could go to my smugmug page and order any pictures that they might want. I'd get to set the prices I want, and smugmug would end up getting a very small %. Very cool, but like I said, very costly, and probably not what you're looking to do. I just think it's a really neat setup.

  4. Yes i agree with the first person, if someone wants your pictures there are many many ways of getting them and if you want people to see them there is a 0% chance that they wont get them if they want them.

But anyway i reccomend photobucket, its the biggest and best ;)

  5. yeah.

  6. Flicker, which actually works with your yahoo ID.  You can set the images so that when people try to download them they get "Spaceball" which is just a white jpg.

If people really badly want the photos, they can always do a print screen and get them that way

  7. http://picasaweb.google.com/home

they have an option so that you can make your photos and albums private so only you and people you select can see them This is a great program.

  8. Try flickr i think you can stop people copying them on that site

  9. I use picasa and it works really well with security like that, you just have to make sure to set the settings right.
