  1. Try craigslist/ tokyo.

  2. I found Craigslist for Tokyo to be practically empty except for spam and scams.

Map Camera in Shinjuku will pay cash or trade for used camera gear.  Usually they pay about 50-65% of what the item is actually worth on the used market, but if you need cash or new gear quick, it's much easier to go there and walk out with the cash than to wait for a buyer on the classifieds.  You'll get a better deal if you have the box, manual, and/or warranty card (especially if the warranty is good in Japan).  They have a huge selection of camera gear ranging from classic and collectibles, all the way up to the latest pro DSLRs and lenses.

Sofmap (a computer chain store in Shinjuku, Akihabara, and others) buys and sells used camera gear, but mostly consumer digicams and camcorders.  Occasionally they'll have higher end SLRs and lenses, but they don't really specialize in that stuff and I guess they won't give you as much money for your gear.

Metropolis magazine has free English classifieds in Tokyo, but it takes 1-2 weeks to post an ad.  I did not have much luck trying to sell higher end camera gear there.

  3. Yeah Craiglist or Tokyo.
