You won't get your scores back until mid-July so by that time you have already applied to colleges and hopefully accepted one of them.

  1. Yes, you can still get college credit for your AP classes if you send your scores to your college after receiving them. It is worth it.

  2. You get your AP grades back every summer, not just at the end of your senior year (you probably knew that, but just in case). If you haven't taken at least 3 by the end of your junior year then I guess it is pointless... But, the colleges will still see your senior classes, and it will help you if you have a difficult courseload (aka lots of APs)

  3. i believe the question is referring to becoming an ap scholar NOT whether this person should take AP classes.  i was an AP scholar and didnt find out that i was until much later than i was accepted to my college.  granted i did early-decision, but you probably won't find out if u are an AP scholar until summer when u get your scores back, which wont help if ur starting in the fall.  make sure u check how many AP credits your prospective college will take, because i ended up with too many, so it was basically a waste to take some of those hard classes.

  4. Yes, if you pass your exams, then you will get credit for those classes at whichever university you are attending, which allows you more options to pick whatever courses you wish to take in college, and also allows you to get ahead in college, as you already have some college credits before even entering college. For example, you can enter college as a sophomore if you pass all your AP Exams and take many AP classes.

  5. Yes, colleges don't take your AP scores into consideration when  deciding on admissions. The scores only matter when it comes time for scheduling your classes, and if you got a three or higher on the exam, then you won't have to take that class. Also, the more AP classes you take, the better your high school transcript will look.
