Is there any point of me reading the next book of twilight, NEW MOON?

i hear edward cullen isn't in the next book of twilight , "new moon"

is it boring ? should i just skip to the next book, eclipse?

New Moon is still interesting even though Edward is not in it for a large portion of the book. You will miss alot of the stuff that goes on in Eclipse if you don't read New Moon. That is the book where Bella's friendship with Jacob is explored the most, and that will be important later.

Just read it.

Even though edward isnt in NEW MOON for a large portion, you need a LOT  of the book to understand eclipse. You need  a lot of the information for the rest of the books to make sence.
