Is there any point to doing a working holiday in Britain and Ireland if I don't drink?

Will I be able to meet people or make friends? I don't drink because I don't like the effects, not for any religious reason. I'm Canadian, by the way

Yes of course you should do it, it will be a great experience and you will make lots of friends.

PS: Do you think we all just sit around in pubs all day drinking?  =]

yeah , you will also be mixing with people while you're working and in some places(not all ) there is a good working relationship and you will often find you are being invited to gatherings bowling ect
