  1. Colleges look at the classes you pick AND the grades you get at the end of the year. Some students who get "senioritis" and slack off or who pick easy classes get either A) rejected because colleges think the schedule is too easy or B) get their offers revoked because they picked great classes to impress people with and then failed them. If you can handle the classes, take them.

  2. yes there is a point. it's called life lessons.

  3. there are two main reasons.

    1) Colleges will ask for which classes you are taking senior year.

So your schedule still have to look challenging.

    2) So you can get college credit.

  4. Yes. There is a big point. I know it doesn't really seem like it going into senior year, but when you start getting into college stuff you'll see.

So my high school only offered 1 AP class (yes, very sad, I know), but I received 8 units just for passing that one test.

Put it into perspective, you need to average about 15 units a quarter and graduate with 180. A kid at my college is going in with 54 just from passing AP tests. Believe me, you wanna be like that kid.

  5. Yes, like someone said already, you will get college credit for it or be exempt from some classes.

But another reason is if you are denied from a school you really want to go to, if you make an appeal, you can show that you are working hard, and that you are taking an AP class (and the test.)

  6. YES. AP scores in general have absolutely no bearing on college admissions anyway. They are for placement. A 3,4, or 5 may earn you X number of credits, even if you only send the result to your college after you have already been admitted. Also, colleges look while you are applying to see if you are taking the most challenging curriculum available. If you take easy courses your senior year, they will realize that you are slacking off rather than staying motivated.

  7. yes because if you pass the ap test you get college credit. But if ur not gonna take the ap test then there is no point.
