  1. Depending on your vehicle it might just be a matter of replacing seals and gaskets.  Or it could be much more complicated.  Either way unless you really know your way around an engine you should have a mechanic do it.


  2. You need a simple E85 conversion kit for only about 800$.

  3. If it is a carbuereted or independent fuel injection it is possible. If it is a newer vehicle,( under warranty) the cost could rise to the point, where you should probably trade it in for a flex fuel vehicle.

  4. that depends, if you have a carburetted engine, then no. carburettors are a single fuel unit as the fuel curve is tuned specifically for the fuel used. mechanical fuel injection is the same way. electronic fuel injection on the other hand can be converted to a flex fuel system with the addition of a flex fuel sensor in the fuel line that tells the computer how much alcohol is in the fuel, and a different computer that is programmed to adjust the fuel and timing curves based on the amount of alcohol is in the system. you would also need to change fuel lines to alcohol proof lines, as well as eliminate any plastic from the system.
