Is there any possible way to plug in my mac in an airplane?

i'm going on an airplane today for 6 hours and wondered if there's ANY possible way to plug in my mac?

  1. It does depend on the plane type and where your seat is.  Seatguru.com is a good source, but not always entirely accurate.  Some planes have regular cigarette lighter type plug-ins.  Others have a special plug that you would have to buy separately.  If you buy a normal type, do not buy a cheap one.  Get one that has a tiny cooling fan built in.  It will burn out, otherwise.


  2. It depends on the plane.  If the plane (and the class you are flying in) has in-flight power, then yes you can.  If your Mac did not come with one, you can buy one at the apple store or maybe in the airport (for more money).

    Check www.seatguru.com, they have pretty up to date charts of where power can be found.
