Is there any price difference in Premium gas between Shell & Chevron if the regular gas price is the same?

If the price of regular gas is the same between 2 stations, that that mean that the price of the premium grade gas is the same too? (Price differential in regular and premium)

If different, which brand of premium grade (lets say comparing Octane 92 since some stations dont offer octane 94) is the most expensive?

Would be interested in difference between shell and chevron primarily.

I live in canada.

  1. Here  in the US most gas stations are NOT owned by the major gas companies but rather by independent resellers. They set the pump prices themselves and prices can vary from corner to corner depending on whether or not there is a nearby competitor regardless of the brand name on the sign.

  2. I just wanted to let everyone know about this great site I found with lots of useful Gas saving tips and information. It is a free site, so no worries. Check it out and save some money like I did using the tips. Good luck!

  3. They all get the gas from SAME pipe line.  Different gas stations all SHARE the same pipe line.

This was on Modern Marvel (History Channel).

Then they add gasoline additive to change the Octane, etc.  Other than that, they are all the same gas.

The difference in Octane on measure resistance to Self ignition or auto-ignition from high compression (like turbo engine).

Octane rating does NOT measure anything else - not the energy content (not more potent), not cleaner, not better mpg,

    NOTHING

You do NOT need to use anything more than what is recommended by the factory.

    Good Luck...
