  6. This is a very good question and should be known by all, especially, to be married couple. Please read the following extract and share the same with your friends and interested people.

WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR BLOOD GROUP

Blood contains various factors which determine its group or type. Depending on the group, the blood of one individual may  or may  not  be  compatible  with that  of  another while  it  is generally known that the “blood group type” of the Donor and the Recipient is a must before the blood  transfusion. There are every day life situations in which we need to know our blood group.

    BEFORE ENTERING WEDLOCK

It is advisable to check the blood group and Rh type of the couple. In case the Rh type of the lady is NEGATIVE and the male is POSITIVE special care of the would-be-mother and the foetus is needed. Lack of prior knowledge of the blood type in such cases, can lead to still-birth or toxic condition, resulting in loss of a life.

    IN PREGNANCY

The would-be-mother must check her blood group.  During or after delivery, she may require blood transfusion, depending on the extent of blood loss.

    SOME AILMENTS

Such as ulcers in the alimentary canal, may cause internal bleeding, needing blood transfusion.  A prior knowledge of the blood group can immediately help to remedy the situation.

    COMMUTING

Day  to  day in the increasing pace  of  life,  is becoming  more  and  more  risky.  Accident rate has increased. Whether one is driving a vehicle or traveling in it, or a pedestrian crossing the road, and accident is a possibility.  In such an emergency, every minute counts. A prior knowledge of the blood group can save time and save a life.

YOUR BLOOD GROUP/TYPE IS YOUR OWN!

It does not change and stays with you through-out your life time.  IT IS A PART OF YOUR IDENTITY.   Know it!

  7. No it's not a problem in general. But if you decide to have a family make sure your doctors are aware of it so they can take measures to prevent possible difficulty with Rh incompatibility. It shouldn't be a problem with your first child. But any pregnancy you have after that should monitored for the possibility of it. Don't worry, it's treatable and doesn't usually become serious as long as it's monitored for possible complications early on. Don't let it play a factor in whether or not you get married, if he's the man of your dreams Go for it!

  8. Not bad consult a doctor for more details
