  1. A good wax can get the job done in most cases, a lot of work but it's good for the long life of the paint. Buff out with a very clean towel. PS be sure to get a wax with UV protectant in it.

  2. Quick and easy? No. Cheap..? Yes.

Option 1. Scratch out at Pep Boys or Blue Coral wheel polish. Both applied vigorously with a DIAPER or MICROFIBER towel should do the trick, depending on how crazy your GF went off on the car.

Option 2. Want a quick solution? It wont last long but might look great for a day or two: WD-40. You can also try boiled linseed oil from Home Depot or Lowes in the Paint products aisle.

Since we train individuals on how to repair paint damage on bumpers etc (Superior Auto Institute) we know all the tricks, and although I don't know how deep the damage is into the clearcoat.., and from what sort of item, without seeing it as well, the above suggestions should get make that ride look alot better.

If not, consult a professional detailer who specializes in color sanding and buffing. That is the last straw before...uh...um....repainting. (sorry to say that word!)

    Good luck!

  3. they have compound to get the swirl marks out at most parts stores or use very light polishing compound.

  4. If they're only in the clear you should be able to buff them out.Use a good quality wax and a low speed buffer.
