Is there any proof of mass precognition?

whiile driving two days ago, across an overpass onto i35 in tx. i had these eerie thoughts of the bridge collapsing. i usually don't think of these things often,probably as much as anyone else, i guess. but this "daydream" was especially "vivid". now we have a bridge collapse in the news today. i am almost certain that other people did too have this experience. is there a place where someone charts and studies stuff like this. is there any hard facts or stats that back it up.

There is a statistic that says that no full plane or train has ever crashed. This has been attributed to exactly the 'eerie' feeling you are referring to.

I don't think I've ever crossed a bridge.without imagining it will collapse.Or flown in a plane and not thought of it crashing.It's human nature.Don't read too much into it.I'm pretty sure everyone does it.Please, do not turn it into para-normal nonsense.Here's a site you may find interesting.Full planes and trains do crash.What's with the overloaded boats sinking all the time.It's just coincidence.

towers on 9-11.

Every time I cross a bridge I imagine it collapsing.  Same thing with airplanes.  I also imagine my home being broken into right as I'm trying to fall asleep.  Why does the brain do this to us?  I don't know.  Perhaps it's to prepare us for the time when the bridge does collapse or the plane does crash.

No, I don't think so.  There's really no evidence of any precognition.  You probably thought about a thousand random things yesterday that didn't happen or nothing happened that resembled them.  It's called the confirmation effect - you remember the hits and forget the misses.  Whether it's imagining a random catastrophe, thinking of a friend who then calls you, or humming a song that comes on the radio, it happens all the time.  It's just a coincidence.

No, there is no proof. But there will be people coming out the woodwork now who claim they envisioned a bridge collapsing just before that bridge over the Mississippi did just that. It's funny that accurate "predictions" only seem to be announced after the event has happened.

I doubt it. If something is precognative it has to be thought of before an event. Announcing after an event that you thought of something, and you must be psychic isnt very compelling. Im sure sylvia browne will believe you, as long as you buy her books.

However, if any of you precognative people said something prior to it happening, or wrote down your vision in some verifiably datable way, or something to indicate that you had the vision prior to the bridge collapsing, then you might have a case.

Yeah, I'm going with TR on this one. IF PEOPLE KNEW it was going to happen they should have said something to somebody and gotten really loud to be heard.

Given that there was just another freeway collapse in Oakland, CA just a couple months back --- albeit due to a gas truck explosion/fire --- I predict there will be another overpass/bridge disaster by the end of the year.

It's not *psychic*; but logic as these things happen in threes.

I heard that a lot of people had some around 9/11.  In fact several hundred people who showed up late for work and didn't get hurt, just felt like it wasn't important to get to work on that day.  It's not science but it would be a great thing to study.  You always hear people say "Where were all the psychics on 9/11?"  Well where are all the scientists studying this question is what I want to know? Always go with your gut feeling. I do!
