Is there any reason to think that soda would go flat quicker at different altitudes?

  1. The CO2 doesn't want to be dissolved in the soda to begin with; the lower air pressure at higher altitudes makes it easier for the CO2 to escape at cooler temperatures.  (Colder temperatures help preserve carbonation for a little while longer; hot soda goes flat much quicker).
