The last couple of washes I haven't had capsules or proper liquid/powder so I just used Fairy liquid. The clothes seem to be and smell clean. Am I being naive here or are we totally getting ripped off paying far too much for washing liquid or powder?

  1. I belive that the reason there is certain liguids powders for dishes and other's for laundry has something to do with the ingredients and it could cause skin irratations..but if it's working for you with no problems then heck ya save some $ and stop buiying the laundry soap

  2. Ive used everything from dish liquid to perfume, it all works.

  3. If that's all we are getting ripped on we are really lucky.I would say its ok as long as it doesn't cause you to itch people here use dawn if they work in the oil fields.Wouldn't use in a front load cduld over suds.

  4. Careful to only use a tiny bit - dish liquid is very sudsy and you could end up with a bubble avalanche on your hands. (You must not have ever seen that episode of "The Brady Bunch!" LOL)

  5. I've used it for years, and have NEVER had a problem.

  6. I think you've been lucky. Dish soap is not formulated to get tough stains, dirt, etc..., out of clothing. It's meant to help dissolve food and food oil away from dishes. It doesn't help to get the germs out of your clothing. I guess it's okay in a pinch, but I wouldn't do it. Good luck!

  7. I have tried it but it gets way too sudsy.

  8. NO REASON AT ALL AND IT WONT HARM YOUR CLOTHING EITHER.IVE USED EVERYTHING TOO EVEN SHAMPOO.

  9. Most dishwashing liquid has bleach.  It could really take the color out of your clothing, or spot it.
