  1. What's making it sparkle?

    The Muse

  2. too gassy,, besides which i don't really know why people drink bottled water, for the most part what comes out of a tap is fine. Its been the biggest con of modern times, poncy prices for water, who'd  have believed it.

CB     because people are so gullible.

  3. It has carbonated stuff in it.

  4. its carbonated i guess

  5. Sparkling water produces flatulency; that's the only reason.

  6. No.  Just expect a burp or two.

  7. I think the bubbles can cause bloating

  8. it can cause gas whereas still water doesn't!

  9. probably because it cause gas

  10. IT MAKES YOU PASS GAS!! THROUGH THE MOUTH THOUGH. IT IS PROCESSED AND THEREFORE IT HAS SOME CHEMICAL CONTENTS THAT COULDBE  HARMFUL TO SOME!!

  11. Wikipedia-

Carbonated water, also known as sparkling water, is plain water into which carbon dioxide gas has been dissolved, and is the major and defining component of most "soft drinks". The process of dissolving carbon dioxide gas is called carbonation. It results in the formation of carbonic acid (which has the chemical formula H2CO3).

In the past, soda water was produced in the home by "charging" a refillable seltzer bottle by filling it with water and then adding carbon dioxide. Club soda may be identical to plain carbonated water or it may contain a small amount of table salt, sodium citrate, sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate, potassium sulfate, or disodium phosphate, depending on the bottler. These additives are included to emulate the slightly salty taste of homemade soda water. In the UK Soda Water is nearly always made with Sodium Bicarbonate.

Sparkling water is unhealthier than still water because it's carbonated.

  12. If you have a weak tummy it can make you sick.Doctors hate fizzy drinks in hospitals.

  13. Yes; the addition of the gas increases the acidity of the water, which is bad for your teeth and your digestion. Plus the bubbles can give you gas.

  14. There are no additonal health giving properties that bottled water have over tap water.  In fact accross Europe and the USA drinking water from taps is scrutinised constantly by statute.

I guess carbonated water has some acidity which might cause a slight problem.

My main concern in environmental  Water bottlers take a commodity which costs almost nothing, they put it into glass or plastic bottles, use precious fuel to ship it all over the world and then charge a fortune for it.  It is an environmental scandal which no-one seems to have picked up on.  They should have a sachet of dehydrated mineral water which can be rehydrated from the tap LOL.

In Buxton, Derbyshire, you can take a container and fill up from the spring in the street for free. Yet it is a world wide brand and money earner for Nestle.  What nonsense!!

Why do people fall for this sort of thing??

  15. As the bubbles cause bloating giving you a sore stomach, and just sounds painful.
