Is there any relationship between the company's socially responsible acts and their financial performance?

There seems to be a lot of research done in large corporations regarding this correlation. But, somehow, these researches seems to lack focus on the small and medium scale enterprises.

Hence, what do you think about whether there's any relationship between socially responsible activities and the firm's financial performance?

  1. This kind of relationship is only possible when a company has achieve its goals and targets, before it has more money to become a social responsible company. It has to motivate and reward its staff and shareholders first before it undertake its social responsibility.


  2. Business is conducted to maximise profits. Where possible it acts responsibly.
