Sorry about that, late answer here... In Richmond there are a lot of restaurants open. Even the mall in the day. If you go to Alexandra street there's a strip of restaurants open late til 2am to 4am.

Try restaurants attached to hotels. They are less likely to be closed today because their guests have to eat.

Check out http://vancouveriste.com She knows all the best restaurants and coffee places and if you look under "Cheap Eats" and "Restaurants" on the site and if you don't find any open today, you can try them another day... her reviews are superb!
