  1. I don't believe so. I checked with the U.S. postal website and found these prohibitions & restrictions for things going INTO Malaysia. The only other way there would be restriction would be if the Japanese postal service didn't allow the EXPORT of such item, which is quite unlikely.

    Prohibitions (130) Malaysia

    Butane gas lighters and refills.

Circulars or advertisements containing amulets, charms or talismans.

Coins or ingots of a value higher than 50 Malaysian dollars, except coins for ornament.

Firearms, including gas guns, and any component parts of such weapons.

Harpoons and spear guns used for undersea fishing.

    Lottery tickets and advertisements thereof.

    Pornographic articles.

    Radioactive materials.

    Restrictions (Malaysia):

Coins; banknotes; currency notes (paper money); securities of any kind payable to bearer; traveler’s checks; platinum, gold or silver, manufactured or not; precious stones; jewelry; and other valuable articles may only be sent in insured parcels. These articles are not admitted in First-Class Mail International shipments, including the Priority Mail International flat-rate envelope

  2. Hi, there!

It depends what the supplement is. In addition, different countries have different regulations, some stricter than others do.

You have not said in which of those countries you live in but you will need to contact the appropriate authorities in the country where you live and ask what the regulations are regarding Japan to Malaysia airmail.

    All best wishes.
