Is there any type of lists out there for retail jobs that can make an employer choose not to hire you and if there is such a list what are they

  2. there is no universal "blacklist" such as that which you describe. But there are employer references, as well as background checks, which over the past few years have become more elaborate, sometimes including facts such as occurrences of disability, unemployment, workers comp cases, and other employment related downtime/liabilities.

    A prospective employer is likely to pass you over, if they notice a trend in you having worker's comp "accidents" every couple of years, or collecting unemployment after each position held, and other issues which could potentially cost them money in time.

  3. NO! are you kidding me? They love to hire experience people in retail......especially if you're from one of their competitors..not that they'll ask you any insider secrets but that you have experience.
