Is there any place in the party for these people? People who hold many left wing views about the economy and many other social issues, but also people who are Christians and steadfastly pro-Life?

  1. Yes, of course.

The Democratic party is the party of inclusion, not exclusion.

Beside, no one party will perfectly match your check list 100%.

  2. If the Democrat party continues to let the far left hijack the party, there won't. The far left wants absolutely no conservative or moderate influences present anywhere in its ideology. The far left will kill what used to be called the Democrat party as long as no one in the party pulls the plug on their bully tactics.

  3. Certainly. I am not one personally, but I personally know many who are.

  4. Pro-life is not a strong issue in the current iteration of the democrat party as very few moderates actually still exist. They have become more ultra-liberal and left-wing in recent years. This is mainly because funding has come from the likes of George Soros, Harold Ickes and Peter Lewis (all left-leaning financiers, to name a few). Pressure is on democrat candidates to conform to this platform of radical change almost to the extent of embracing socialism.

  5. Sure they will take your vote. Then, chastise you for being Conservative. What will you say to our Lord when he asked about your supporting a person or party that agrees with abortion? Are your views on the economy and other social issues worth that?

  6. My aunt and Bob Casey both fit into that mold, so yes. :)

  7. no, that's why I switched to the Republican party.

  8. Yes. I am pro life and a democrat....I simply believe that abortions should be very rare.

  9. My brother recently told me that Democrats are not christians. I told him he must be dumber than I thought. They are the ones who look out for all most anything that will make life better for most Americans. Do you think all Republicans are pro-life? Most of them are pro-money. They are more worried about taking care of their riches than their fellowman. Who do you think invades other countries these days? Most Democrats are more worried about not losing their children to war and keeping their jobs. Do you think it is the lower and middle class sending jobs overseas? Think about it. You can practice your faith no matter which party you are in. It's the core values of the party you have to look at. This country and its constitution is not for any one belief or religion. It is for many of all descriptions and everyone should count. Sometimes it is not easy to make that happen and we have to settle to some extent and do what the majority wants. There are countries that are constitutionally religious, like most of the muslim countries. Is that what you would like? We don't have laws to make us all alike, but we do have laws to make us get along with each other as need be. Although I think the Democrats have thoroughly messed up this election, I would rather be a Democrat and be for all the people than to be so conservative I couldn't vote to have insurance for all the children that need it. Someone has to pay for all the things that make our country work, the infrastructure, the wars, the social legislation, school and housing loans and even the people who run it, who have better insurance, retirement and almost anything else than the average person does. Guess how they get it. Your taxes, which is the one thing the Republicans gripe about most.

  10. They will take your vote and then have nothing to do with you.

  11. There is room for everyone in the Democratic Party no one party will have all your views. You just decide which comes closest to what you believe.

  12. No.  Obama basically pushed all of Hillary's conservative democratic people.  Very few pro life people are democrats.

  13. Without a shadow of a doubt, the Jesus of the bible was what Republicans like to call a "bleeding-heart Liberal", and I would guess He was probably "pro-Life", so I'm sure you would be welcomed by the vast majority of Democrats.

The Democratic Party, however, is likely to remain "pro-Choice" for as long as it continues to overlook biblical incantations that women are "second-class" citizens who should do as hubby says.  Being "pro-life" is all very nice, but it is impractical (and un-biblical); God allows vast numbers of pregancies to end in "spontaneous abortion", I'm not so sure He has any big problem with it.  If human lives were really all that special, they would not be so easy to make...
