Is there any science behind Feng Shui - or is it legend, and fantasy and such? ?

Feng shui is utter nonsense. It is the ridiculous notion that arranging the space around can improve various aspects of your life. Anyone with even a single lethargic braincell should know that it is total BS.

Penn and Teller did a show on it. Was quite good and should tell you what you need to know. I think I saw it on you tube.

Feng Shui is an old Chinese practice that uses the laws of Heaven (astronomy) and Earth (geography) to help people improve their life receiving positive Qi (energy).

The original designation for this discipline is Kan Yu, literally: heaven and earth. Essentially, it is the observation of heavenly (time) and earthly (space) forces and how each Qi interacts with the other. Balancing these forces is the purpose of Feng Shui.

So, definitely, Feng Shui is a science, but as always, lot of people think there is something more behind.

Feng Shui is about harmonizing your room or rooms.

its not science but more on balancng our life, it is more on psychology.

e.g. always have your house/business facing the sun, that way it will be very well lighted, more attractive for costumers to see and its like taking the good energy that comes from the sun. light is happiness and a more clearer mind.

Skeptics have had various Feng Shui experts decorate (whatever they call it) a house, and they do things that contradict one another. It seems like they just make it up as they go along. Penn and Teler did a show about it.

In as much as we know that certain colors, shapes, smells, and arrangements do cause emotional changes in people.

So is it better to have dried plants or live plants? - live plants preferably - it doesn't take a lot of science to prove that.

All the stuff dealing with spirits, well that's just oriental beliefs.
