Question:

Is there any scientific reason behind intutions?

I usually have strong intutions. And I think that there is any force that is present in the atmosphere or nature . But I am in a fix that , is that force is scientific or that is only the spiritual kind of force. Can anyone help me for this as I am very curious to know something new about it.

  1. A good part of intuition is attention to detail -- things like micro-expressions that are so short the conscious mind doesn't pick up on them and knowledge that we have buried somewhere.

Another part of intuition has to do with familiarity and patterns we may have unconsciously perceived.  When we see this pattern begin in a new place, we can guess at what comes next -- and when we see it broken, we know something is wrong.

So a lot of intuition does have a scientific base.

Some intuition, however, seems to come from something less scientific -- guardian angels, the universe, God, the ascended masters, our deceased loved ones.

  2. the scientific explanation for intutions is called shizotypal personaliy disorder.

  3. why should be any?science can not explain everything,

it would be an obsession then ,assuming that science

is the ultimate truth, however there is a pseudo-science

that has to do with this is called parapsychology .intuition

    is an extra -perception,

  4. My husband is very intuitive and has NO attention to detail.  He is barely aware of the real world, lol.  However, he KNEW when something happened to my big sister, even though she was on another continent.  He gets intuitions like that quite a lot...

I don't believe they have yet uncovered the scientific explanation for it, however, I saw a show on TV when they were measuring the brainwaves of psychics as they used their psychic powers.  It showed that psychics could much more easily bring themselves into a brain-wave pattern (when they are using their powers) that normally only happens in a state of sleep or very deep meditation.  Interesting....

  5. it's clear that some people are far more intuitive than others. I think consistently correct frequent intuitions are the result of a hieghtened awareness to details, and I think that is what is meant by "psychic ability".

  6. We have a habit of dismissing anything that cannot be proved by science.

In Netherlands one man lived ( or living) whose name was (is) Peter Herkos. While he was painting a tall building he fell down and had serious head injuries and doctors thought that he would not survive. But he survived. Not only he survived but after that incident he could  tell any body's past, present and future by touching him/her or their belongings. They are called Psychic and the knowledge is known as ESP (Extra sensory perception).

Doctors were unable to find the reason or able to prove it was wrong. Many people and even French and Dutch police used his capability to solve unsolved police cases.

He was taken to US for medical analysis. He has written his biography and published.I do not know whether he is alive or not. I have read his biography.

Many of us has this ability to some extent. We dream and find that comes true.

Our brain is a very powerful instrument. It has fantastic capability. Unfortunately we are not aware of its full capability. Scientists say that the average man uses only 5 % of his brain and nobody knows what the other 95% does.

In olden days our Rishis could tell about past, present and future and visualize things. They can grant boons and also curse and materialise things.

So you also can develop your capability and could become a psychic.

  7. Scientific or spiritual, it is a definite human experience. Not limited to humans, even animals have intuition, we might be inclined to call it instinct or hunch, or coincidence.

  8. Intuition is instinct.  Animals have instincts, and so do humans, but sometimes we lose touch with them.  So, the scientific reason is that you never lost touch with your instincts.  But, that leaves the question "why?"  Why have instincts in the first place?  It's a natural force...but where did it come from?

In my opinion, your intuitions are natural...but that doesn't stop them from being spiritual as well.

  9. I consider myself a scientific person, but not an intuitive one. I believe that there is SOME basis for intuition...but it may be more mundane than you think. Here is an example.

A mother is busy in her kitchen. She suddenly has an intuition that her toddler is going to fall in the pool. She saves him just in time. Intuition?

Well consider the possibility that the mother is very 'in tune' with her baby...she knows the baby is curious about the pool, the house was a little TOO quiet, and deep down she knew that the screen door was unlocked.

I think intuition is an extension of the senses. Subconsciously, our brain puts together all these signals and has to communicate them to conscious thought somehow. Some people are very good at picking up these signals (other people's body language, for example), but most of us tune them out, trusting to our conscious mind.
