  1. Queensland being a sub tropical and tropical state, no. There is no skiing because it is far too hot!

    There are many other resorts further south of QLD in Victoria and NSW, the major ones are Hotham, Mt Buller, Falls Creek, Perisher and Thredbo. Although Australia doesn't have very good snow compared to the rest of the world because we are in a drought and it doesnt snow all that much.

Yes,  Perisher Blue is in Australia, about 5-6 hours drive from Sydney.  The Olympic Gold Medalist from Italy for bump skiing is from Australia, Dale Begg-Smith.  Their summer is our winter.  You could ski year round, here in the winter months, and head down under for their winter which is our summer.

    but if there is no snow go on vacation in the USA they have alot of good places to go.
