Is there any software that will let me edit the AVCHD format on Mac, in After Effects or Premiere Pro?

I'm about to get the Canon VIXA HG10 and I've been reading a lot about how its format is hard to edit, due to it being a new format.

why did you get Adobe on a Mac? (granted im an adobe supporter but still...Final Cut/Motion is the mac editing/sfx software)

currently, Adobe DOES NOT support AVCHD and your only option is to convert AVCHD to HDV format using a converter before editing the video.

although if you don't mind a suggestion on a different camera, i highly suggest the Canon Vixia HV30 (rated #1 on a camcorder review site)
