  1. Yes.

    They remove some of your lower leg bones,  reattaching the ends with metal plates and screws until they heal.  

    But you have to really convince them before they will do it.


  2. Yes but it is extremely painful. The doctors would have to break your leg bones and re-set them. Awful.

  3. Yes, but no reputable surgeon would do this in your case.

  4. Bilateral cosmetic BKA can significantly decrease your height, perhaps even get you down to 4'2".

  5. I would guess that you'd be hard-pressed to find a surgeon who would do surgery just to make you shorter, but interestingly there are a few.

    1.  Hip or knee joint replacement.  Often shortens the affected leg due to altered leg-to-pelvis angles and actual leg length.

    2.  Spinal surgery.  If it results in loss of intervertebral disk height or increase in spinal curvature.

    3.  Leg amputation.  Yeah, I know.

    4.  For some people with very good body and bounce, a good haircut.   : )
