  1. If you are receiving TAP, you only have a limit of 4 years. I don't know about the others.

  2. Each school sets their owe limits, but at most places it's 6 years for an undergrad degree.  You can get student loans and fellowships to get a PhD and stay in school for around 10 years though if you'd like.

  3. Federally, there is an 12 semester limit to pell grants, but usually that limit is monitored from college to college.  Every financial aid adminstrator gets a flag on students whose social security number matches up with more than 12 semesters of undergraduate aid, when that student's FAFSA processes.  In order for federal aid to dispurse, your financial aid office has to override the flag if you are over 12 semesters.

Most college's registrar's offices keep close tabs on their students and what degree they are working towards.  This means students that skip from school to school are usually caught as well, because most colleges require transcripts from previous colleges to be obtained before they attend.  If someone did not want to report all the colleges they have jumped from, their financial aid transcripts list the schools aid was obtained from as well.

By law, all students recieving financial aid, must be in a degree seeking program--meaning they must be working towards something.  Because pell grants are only offered to undergraduate students, once you get an undergraduate degree, you are no longer pell eligible.

Grants other than pell grants usually differ from state to state and college to college, but to ensure the money gets spread around equally, most financial aid offices check grant requirements against the elibility deterimed from the FAFSA/
