i was just wondering if there was a time line that u can call in a rape

  1. The longer someone waits, the less proof there is.  It is better to report it right afterward so that bruises and other injuries can be seen and photographed and so that DNA and other samples can be taken.

    Once that evidence is gone, it's "he said, she said" and tougher to prove.

    But if you or someone you know has been raped, please call a local rape hotline right away.  Even if it is too late to press charges, their are resources to help the victim recover from the trauma.


  2. Yes, there is a time limit but every state is different. You can probably get the information by contacting your states attorney or a Rape/Sexual abuse hot-line, which would be more confidential.

  3. You should talk to an attorney.  Naturally the police and the courts need evidence.  If you wash away the evidence in a shower, without letting the police collect first, without witnesses, you don't have a case.

  4. If you know who did it, take care of it yourself or find a man related to you who will take care of it for you.  If someone raped any member of my family, I would make them pay myself.  The legal system doesn't work in our country.  You can't count on it for justice.
