  1. work the shoe a lot and build up your ankle strength

  2. do tons of roll ups on pointe and be sure the shoe isn't twisting on your foot. and if your toes are really hurting after dancing en pointe for a while, i helps if you stand on the box with the other foot. trust me it really helps and won't break the shoe. just don't do it too much or your feet won't get used to feeling uncomferable and your shoes'll get dirty. good luck and have fun. you could also get a theraband and and wrap part of it around your toes and hold the ends in your hands. then pointe and flex your feet as fast as you can while still rolling through them. have fun :)

  3. do roll ups go from demi to point slowly but not too slow and do that parallel, 1st position, 2nd position,  5th postition, then do it quick

  4. first its important you have the right shoes for your shape of foot and U MUST tie the shoes right and place the elastic and ribbon in the right place.

your teacher will tell you how to break in your shoes ... it depeds on the hight of your instep!!!! too high and a shoe thats too broken in will not give you any support. if your teacher doesnt know GET A NEW TEACHER.asap.

the other most important thing is to learn to go "through " the foot with out shoes. and not to be afraid going on to your toes. you are only 1/2 " or less  off the ground.  thats it!

    good luck.!

  5. Use a desk to get onto the very highest pointe u can. (i can go onto my nails!) Then you hold it. You can start loosening up on your grip with the desk. Try to stay the same height!

    good luck!

  6. some ways to break in your shoes=

hit them with a hammer but not too hard

do relevaes in the bathtub with very little warm water on the bottom

    wear them around the house

    roll through demi-pointe

bend the arches slowly to form to your foot
