Is there any train from mangalore central to goa in the morning?

Yes. There is a local train (Mangalore-Verna),which starts at 6.50 AM from Mangalore Central to reach madgoan around after noon 1.30. Since it is a local train it will stop in all most all stations, thus consuming much time.

If you want to reach early then catch trains going to Ahmedabad from Mangalore junction (kankanadi) around 5AM. you will reach madgoan by 11.15AM. But mangalore Junction station is bit out side the city and the auto walas may shave you royally!!
