  6. I had to change my working days to nights, and it takes a week or two to change sleeping habits. I sometimes leave the TV on so low that you can barely hear it and make sure its something really boring like a political talk show or something and you'll fall asleep fast.

  7. As one with over two decades in the mental health profession, I can say, by experience, that reading will tire your eyes and mind out amply for you to fall asleep, oftentimes sooner than you want.  If you're thinking you're going to have trouble making that adjustment, begin some  serious studying habits at the beginning of the school year, and watch your grades soar to the top, and your sleep coming to you plentifully.  It always seemed to do that to me when I was cramming for final exams in college, and all during graduate school.  I'm sure it will work for you too.  Oh, and no caffeine or other stimulant drinks while studying, although you may develop a "need" or desire for them as the school year proceeds.  If you want to go to sleep, do without all the "aids" to stay awake.  I'm glad it's you doing this now and not me.  God Bless you.

  8. yes you need to wake up early like 5 or 4 and force yourself awake the rest of the day and by 10 you'll feel tried. do this for a week until your body adjusts

  10. after the first day of school you will be so tired that you will get back on schedual. Which is good and bad cause you will most likely dread the day until it comes but its not so bad. And  if you do stay up all night then try to stay up all day to go to bed around 5 or 6 and youll sleep a good twelve hours and be right back on schedual.

  11. Okay, My name is Skyler. I am 14 years old and im always staying up at night at my dads house and it is hard for me to go to bed. There is something you can buy at wal-mart. It is made by Tylenol and I think it should say something sleepy or something with the word sleepy on it. I heard that works well and usually being active will also get you tired. Usually run around and be active. Then, that night take a hot bubble bath and that will help you get to bed faster.

  12. Get ready for bed at 9:00 stay up for a half hour. Get in your bed at 9:45. Close your eyes and think about absolutely nothing.

  13. Reading often helps. You need to adjust your internal clock. If you need to take some non-addictive sleep aid pills (like Benadryl allergy medicine) for awhile, that's ok - it'll help you adjust. Finally, it sounds simple, but avoid noise and light and lie perfectly still. To avoid noise you may want to buy some earplugs. I use them all the time and they work great.

  14. drink warm milk?  You can maybe get some melatonin from the pharmacy.  It's all natural supplement and will put you to sleep..  count sheep.  Get up at 6am and don't take naps or anything..
