Is there any type of shelter o place to go when a tornado strikes in Florence Alabama?

My sister is living for a few months in Florence Alabama, back home we don´t have tornados, so she really doesn´t know what to do or where to go when a tornado appears if anyone knows where she can go in Florence when this happens please tell me thank you so much Naty.

I don't think so. You should be safe in your house. Just go into the basement or the center of the lowest floor under a sturdy piece of furniture such as a table. If outdoors, in a mobile home, trailer or automobile then seek a safe shelter. Any public building will do. If no shelter is available lie in the nearest low lying spot with your hands over your head.
