Is there any way I can invest some money for my grandchildren without my son knowing.?

I want to invest £500.00 each for my 2 grandchildren. I do not want my son to know. I would like to invest it long term. Has anyone any knowledge regarding this. Thanks

  1. Investing for Grandchildren is something that we do regularly and investing for Grandchildren without parents knowing is something we do more often than is realized. It is quite simple, but requires advice throughout the process, after all, this is something that needs to be maintained quite possibly some time after you have departed. Sounds mean; but is a fact of life. It is done most often using a bare trust or account designation. Ask your financial adviser about this, explaining what you want to achieve, I am sure he or she will be able to help.

  4. You could invest the money in your grandchildren's names with yourself as a signatory until they're 18 for example - however, you will more than likely need their birth certificates as proof of identification, and possibly a recent utility bill as proof of their address.
