Is there any way for an american student to work in england for a summer?

do you know of any way for an american student to obtain a work visa/permit to work in england over the summer? thanks!

I don't think that you need a visa if you want to work for less than six months.  You do need a work permit, however.  See the UK government website.  I do not know how the schemes work.

Well, it always helps to have family in w.e country your going to go to.  My sister is going to study abroad and there are different programs that help you obtain a visa in colleges try looking up one of those.
