Is there any way for me to send a large file to my friend over the internet?

Question

I want to send my friend files over 10 MB (which yahoo mail doesn't allow) and she lives about an hour away so I cant use a flash drive to transfer the files and just walk to her house. So I want to know is there any way to send these files (without upgrading my yahoo mail because I dont want to pay extra)

And she doesn't have outlook express so I can't use that. Please help!

you can send it over aim, or probably other instant messengers.  I think you can send 10mb files with a free gmail account.

Well, the best option I can think of would be to compress the file using either winzip or winrar and after the file is compressed to a smaller size and is still not under 10 mb, then you should upload the file to:

www.rapidshare.com

It's pretty user-friendly there, so you shouldn't have too much trouble figuring out how to upload a file there. After it uploads the file, it will give you a link to download it. Send this link to your friend, and VOILA! You friend clicks the link and waits about 3 minutes to download it. Hope this helped you and your problem! : D

If you have a ftp-server from your ISP that maybe an idea.

There are also a few websites where you can share files, for example 4shared.com

what about compressing the files if u can compress the files small enough but your friend but would need the same program to uncompress them to i'am talking about a zip or rar format here is a link to jzip its free it will shrink the files

heres an EASY solution that u might not have thot uv b4.

goto http://www.drop.io, and make a site. they take files up to 100 mb, so thats taken care of. just upload the file to drop.io, and tell ur friend 2 go 2 that drop.
