Is there any way i can block a number on my house phone???

Question

I have a house phone that has 800 numbers and sales people always call... i cant change the number because im on a plan...

is there any way i can block the numbers? i already know the *67 trick, it didn't work...

please help!!!

You can try calling the phone company and ask them to have your number not listed so that solicitation calls wont call you anymore but if you owe any bills or anything like that they will still call you... there is a website you can go to to have your number put on the national do not call list you can try it

I receive 12 unsolicated phone calls approx. a day.  Where I live (they are supposed following the US)  They are instituting a phone  number that may be called and you may register your unwanted calls list.  They will be removed from your number.  With this service we have been told that charities, political parties and service organizations will not be removed.  It is only people selling goods and services that may be removed from your via no call list.  I don't know if you have such a service in your state but it might be worth looking into.

When unsolicated callers phone, I also speak to them and ask to be removed from their list - usually they comply.  It is also possible to request call blocking from your phone service.  They usually only allow you to book about 10 callers from your list.
