Is there any way i can check the history of my nanas house in melbourne 100 years ago?

My nana lives on a busy street in Melbourne and we are wondering what was there 100 years before the house was built, but we are unsure of how to find this information... please help

Usually your "main" library in your city has old records like this, and sometimes they even show the house, or what was there before the house was built...it's in their "archive" collections...
