Is there any way i can get rid of the msn noises without muting all my sound?

i dont like it when im listening to music on my comp and i have that annoying "bloop de bloop"

i would listen to my ipod but theres a lot of songs i am in love with right now that i havent downloaded (i listen to the music on youtube currently) and i have no money (i dont like to illegaly download, and limewire isnte ven working on my comp, so yeah)

  1. i don't know if your computer is the same as mine but i only have to click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the screen ( on the task bar ) and it will pull up a general noise bar thing. click on mixer and you will see different icons for all of the windows you have open on your computer. pick the on the want and mute it. simple pimple my lady.

    lol this really easily solved....all you do is...

    1. open your messenger

    2. click on the sign where you have your name and status

    3. at the very bottom you should see " options"

    4. click on it

    5. click on the tab that says "alerts and sounds"

    6. in "sounds" uncheck all the boxes that you dont want to have sounds to

    7. click "apply" at the bottom"

    and you are done!

    or use the 'busy' status

    using that the MSN gets mute

    un tick the ones you DO NOT want to hear


  6. Are you using Windows Vista - If you are using windows Vista then you can right click the sound icon from the Task Bar and then click Sound Manager.

    In sound mixer you can mute or control the volume of the programs running.

    You can also change the settings of the MSN messenger.
